My name is Alison Hocking and I am the founder of CTi. I have 5 children (one adopted) and have been married for 37 years.
I resigned from my vocation as a foster parent, having cared for over 75 children, some of our society’s most vulnerable for many years. The charity has been on hold for the last few years due to the realisation that large charities are no what I thought they were anymore, and I needed clarity and reflection, before growing this cause, with openness, transparency, honesty and the ability to work alongside Jeanette Archer and the survivors of Satanic Ritual Abuse. (SRA)
I am a fully qualified Homoeopath (RSHom & LicLCCH), Holistic Beautician, Hairdresser, Holistic Therapist and. I have a Clinic in Lytham St Annes., and I have 4 lovely , raw fed doodles.
I was inspired to use my experiences of fostering and adoption to make resources and advice available, hence CTi was birthed.
I believe that I can be an advocate for children and their families with genuine and heart-felt empathy. I believe that I am unique having had significant experience with traumatised children.
I understand the gaps that young traumatised children and their families face. I know first-hand how cruel life can be for these children.
I know how ordinary people can become extraordinary when they stand shoulder to shoulder, empowered, believing for the best for their child.

"Thank you for considering me as a trustee for Child Trauma International. I am passionate about seeing lives restored to their full potential, and I believe that with appropriate support and care, people can overcome the obstacles from their past.
My wealth of experience as a Teacher and a Youth and Family Support Officer has given me a deep understanding of the challenges that families, adults and children face when dealing with trauma and abuse. Over the years I have supported vulnerable adults and children, and strived to find them the specialist care that they need to heal and move forward.
I have a deep understanding of the needs of children and adults, and how trauma can impact their lives."

CTi believes that unless childhood trauma is addressed as a priority, the foundation of the child’s brain will struggle to reach its true potential.
CTi believes in the importance of the child’s brain becoming healthy and balanced, and that part of that healing process is through attachment and belonging to a family group where they can allow themselves to trust again. Using play, expert trauma therapy, creative games, role play, love laughter and learning new life skills, achieving and feeling a sense of purpose.
